Banksy is undoubtedly the most famous british street artist of his generation. Yet his identity remains a mystery to this day. Brilliant, illusive, he works on the scale not many even thought would be possible. His canvases are the streets; his galleries are the cities all across the world. His art is meaningful, clever, humorous — albeit often darkly — and full of deep social criticism.
Born in the 70s, in Bristol, throughout his almost 30-year career Banksy managed to change the perception of modern art itself, turning into masterpieces walls of buildings, bridges, road signs and train cars. As of today he has created hunreds of unique works of art including graffiti, paintings, exceptional documentary and one very unusual theme park.
All that leaving absolutely no trace... except in the hearts and minds of people.
